Choose a movie that you have viewed in the past and can re-watch to complete the below worksheet.

Answer the following questions about the film by filling in, saving, and submitting this form. Please refer to the course readings to support your answers.

Part I: Examining Cinematography

Answer each question in 50 to 75 words (600 words minimum total for the assignment)

Discuss how your film is “framed.” For example, describe the framing in some shots and/or a scene.
Discuss the “depth of field” used in one scene in the film.
Using at least one scene, identify and discuss how contrast and color are used.
Discuss the use of “camera movement” in one scene.

Part II: Analyzing Editing
